Our partner Bosch Rexroth has expanded its portfolio with the new SMS (Small Modules Screw driven) range - innovative linear ball screw modules that bring compactness, precision and cost savings to everyday automation.
Small size. Great performance.
SMS modules offer an excellent price/performance ratio and high repeatability down to ± 0.005 mm. The extremely flat and lightweight linear modules are ideal for simple positioning and feeding tasks and enable cost-effective electrification with high repeatability. Optional motor accessory kits are also available from various manufacturers. To save even more design time, separate connection kits are available for popular servo motors - either as a flange coupling or as a belt drive. Customers can also choose from the Bosch Rexroth range of drives and motors.
Where do they apply?
The linear modules are manufactured to Rexroth quality standards. They can be used in a wide range of different areas. These include the consumer goods and packaging industry, semiconductor and battery manufacturing, 3D printing, automotive, medical technology and typical mechanical engineering applications. The focus is on small mass positioning in cost-sensitive areas with low to medium dynamics. Due to low system cost and lifetime, SMS linear modules are also an efficient alternative to pneumatically driven axes.
Main technical advantages:
- Flat and compact aluminium profile with integrated precision guidance
- Magnetically attached steel cover strip for reliable protection of internal components
- Five module sizes (30-120 mm) with a stroke range of up to 1,200 mm
Integration options:
TBH Technik specialists will be happy to assist you with the selection and ordering of new SMS linear modules. To simplify and speed up design, mounting kits are available for popular servo motors, both flanged couplings and belt drives. Customers can also choose from Bosch Rexroth's extensive range of drives and motors.
