Bosch Rexroth has expanded its range of standardised stand-alone drives with the CytroMotion system solution, which delivers high performance, easy handling and lifetime efficiency. CytroMotion makes it possible to achieve linear motions with forces of up to 110 kN in a variety of machines and systems, in smaller spaces, more efficiently and more sustainably.
Thanks to the all-electric control, the drive facilitates both construction and commissioning. The efficient drive with on-demand power supply is virtually maintenance-free and its hermetically sealed design helps to save CO₂ emissions and reduce operating costs. The innovative design approach brings new possibilities for mechanical and process engineers, with a longer stroke compared to mechanical linear axes in the same space. An online configurator helps to find the optimal drive configuration for a specific application in minutes. Installation takes place without the use of pipes, hoses, filters, etc.
CytroMotion, in conjunction with advanced control technologies, improves process quality and energy efficiency, reducing power consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 80 % compared to conventional hydraulic systems. The variable speed drive only consumes energy when power is actually needed.
The CytroMotion drive is suitable for a wide range of applications - from power systems, through metalworking and pressing processes to steel mills and industrial applications with high force requirements. The hermetically sealed hydraulic system is also ideal for quality assurance applications in the process and food industries.
The system also supports status monitoring, maximising equipment availability. Integrated open interfaces and pressure sensors facilitate the measurement of process forces and monitoring of internal system parameters, enabling early detection of anomalies in critical process parameters and eliminating unplanned downtime.
